Drum Brake Backing Plate: Installation

- Install the backing plate.
- Install the backing plate bolts. Tighten the bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the axle shaft. See appropriate AXLE SHAFT article in DRIVELINE/AXLES.
- Install the wheel cylinder. See WHEEL CYLINDER .
- Install the brake shoes. See DRUM BRAKE SHOE .
- Install the brake drum. See BRAKE DRUM .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Bleed the brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM
