Disc Brake Hardware - Front Single Piston: Installation

  1. Clean area using denatured alcohol.
  2. Dry area using non-lubricated, filtered compressed air.
  3. Apply high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the brake caliper pin bolts and retainers. DO NOT apply lubricant to the brake pad hardware.
  4. Install the front brake caliper bolt, bolt sleeve and bolt sleeve bushing.
  5. Install the inner brake pad retainer spring.
  6. Install the brake pad to the brake caliper bracket. See BRAKE PADS - FRONT SINGLE PISTON CALIPER .
  7. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. With the engine running, firmly pump the brake pedal 3 times.
