Wheel Cylinders: Installation

  1. Spread brake shoes apart. Install wheel cylinder and tighten mounting bolts.
  2. Remove cap from brake pipe and install brake pipe to wheel cylinder. Tighten to specification. Install brake drum.
  3. Bleed hydraulic brake system at wheel cylinder. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Install wheels. Tighten wheel lug nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Lower vehicle.
