Removal (Intermediate)

NOTE: Required Tools: Parking Brake Cable Release Tool (J-37043).
  1. Raise and support the vehicle and support. Remove the front park brake cable from the cable guides. Pull down on the intermediate park brake cable (2) near the park brake connector (1). Remove the intermediate park brake cable (2) from the park brake cable connector (1). See Figure . Use the Parking Brake Cable Release Tool in order to disconnect the intermediate cable housing from the cable retaining bracket.
  2. Disconnect the intermediate cable (3) from the right rear park brake cable (5). Disconnect the intermediate cable (3) from the rear equalizer (1). Remove the intermediate cable. See Fig 1 .
