Removal & Installation (Rear)

  1. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Remove the brake caliper and bracket from the vehicle, support the caliper assembly away from the rotor. Mark the relationship of the rotor to the hub. Remove the brake rotor.
    2. NOTE: Whenever the rotor has been separated from the wheel bearing flange, clean any rust or contaminants from the wheel bearing flange and the brake rotor mating surfaces. Failure to do this may result in increased lateral runout of the brake rotor, and brake pulsation.
  2. Use the Rotor Resurfacing Kit in order to thoroughly clean any corrosion from the wheel flange. Use the Wheel Hub Resurfacing Kit in order to remove any rust or corrosion from the wheel hub surface.
  3. Install the brake rotor over the wheel studs onto the wheel bearing flange. Install the brake caliper and bracket assembly. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
