Brake Pedal Assembly: Installation

  1. Install the brake pedal assembly onto the booster studs. Install the booster stud mounting nuts and tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install the brake pedal to cowl studs mounting nuts and tighten to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . See Fig 1 .
  2. Apply lubricant, GM P/N 1050109, or equivalent, to brake pedal clevis pin. Install the pushrod onto brake pedal clevis pin. Install the brake pedal foam spacer to the brake pedal clevis pin. Install the pushrod retainer to the brake pedal clevis pin. Install the accelerator control cable.
  3. Install the electrical connectors to the stop lamp/ABS/shift lock switch. Install the stop lamp/ABS/shift lock switch. Install the TCC/cruise control release switch. Install the I/P assembly.
