Fuel Injection Pump Timing Adjustments: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 GMC Sierra, 2003 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2003 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: To prevent severe engine damage, turn engine off before loosening fuel injection pump nuts or rotating fuel injection pump.
NOTE: The scan tool procedures listed are referenced to the Tech 2 Diagnostic Scan Tool (7000081). If engine or front cover has been removed, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1214 is set. If PCM and fuel injection pump have been replaced, perform a TDC offset clear and relearn procedure before setting fuel injection pump timing.
