Lower Control Arm: Removal

NOTE: Tools Required: Steering Linkage & Tie Rod Puller (J-24319-B).
  1. Remove the rear suspension support assembly. See SUSPENSION SUPPORT ASSEMBLY .
  2. Remove the automatic level control height sensor link on the left control arm.
  3. Remove the stabilizer link bolt and the nut. See Fig 1.
  4. Disconnect the anti-lock brake electrical connector.
  5. Remove the wheel bearing and hub. See HUB & BEARING ASSEMBLY .
  6. Remove the adjustment link retaining nut from the lower control arm. See Figure.
  7. Using J-24319-B, separate the adjustment link from the lower control arm. See Figure.
  8. Remove the bolt and the nut securing the lower control arm to the rear suspension support assembly. See Fig 2.
  9. Remove the lower control arm.
