Coil Spring: Removal

NOTE:
Tools Required: Steering Linkage & Tie Rod Puller (J-24319-B).
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the tires and wheels.
- Support the control arm with a suitable jack.
- Remove the automatic level control air tube from the shock.
- Remove the lower shock absorber retaining bolts. See Fig 1.
- Remove the adjustment link retaining nut. See Figure.
- Using J-24319-B separate the adjustment link from the lower control arm. See Figure.
- Slowly lower the control arm until it bottoms on the support assembly.
- Using a pry bar, pry under the lower spring insulator and remove the spring with the insulator.
- Remove the upper insulator by pulling downward. See Fig 2.
