Coil Spring Insulators: Installation

  1. Install the jounce bumper by inserting the retainer into the body of the vehicle. See Figure.
  2. Install the spring and the lower insulator. Ensure that the insulator is seated in the control arm.
  3. Raise the lower control arm.
  4. Install the lower shock absorber retaining bolts. See Figure. Tighten the lower shock absorber retaining bolts to 18 Ft. Lbs. (24 N.m).
  5. Install the adjustment link to the lower control arm. See Figure.
  6. Install the adjustment link retaining nut. Tighten the nut to 22 Ft. Lbs. (30 N.m) plus an additional 180 degrees.
  7. Install the automatic level control air tube to the shock.
  8. Install the tire and the wheel.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
