Body Mount (Front): Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheels.
  3. Remove the exhaust system.
  4. Use a jack stand in order to support the forward end of the rear suspension support assembly.
  5. Remove the brackets from the body retaining bolts. See Fig 1.
  6. Remove the bolts that secure the front of the support assembly to the body of the vehicle.
  7. Lower the front end of the support assembly in order to enable mount removal.
  8. Use a punch in order to perform the following actions:
    1. Bend the tabs on the inboard mount. See Fig 2.
    2. Tap the mount downward and out of the support assembly.
