Circuit Description

When ignition is turned on, SDM performs tests to diagnose critical internal malfunctions. SDM monitors passenger head impact air bag module high-side and low-side circuit voltage differences. SDM uses voltage difference to calculate circuit resistance. A high deployment loop resistance indicates an open in passenger head impact air bag module deployment circuit.
