Circuit Description

When ignition is turned on, Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) performs tests to diagnose critical internal malfunctions. SDM monitors passenger-side air bag high-side and low-side circuit voltage difference. SDM uses voltage difference to calculate circuit resistance. A high deployment loop resistance indicates an open passenger-side air bag module circuit.
