Zone 9

  1. Turn steering wheel to place vehicle wheels in straight-ahead position. Turn ignition off.
  2. Remove right-side instrument panel end cover to access fuse block. Remove AIR BAG fuse from fuse block. Remove driver-side instrument panel knee bolster. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from driver-side air bag module connector, located at base of steering column. See Figure. Disconnect connector.
  3. Remove CPA clip from passenger-side air bag connector, located to right of steering column. See Figure. Disconnect connector. Remove Side Impact Sensor from lower B-pillar. See SIDE IMPACT SENSOR (SIS)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove CPA clip and disconnect SIS connector.
