Removal (8.1L)

Loosen bolt on intake manifold sight shield at top of engine. Remove intake manifold sight shield from top of engine. Disconnect EVAP canister purge solenoid harness connector. See Fig 1.
Slide retaining tab on EVAP purge pipe connection to release position and disconnect EVAP purge pipe from EVAP canister purge solenoid. See Fig 2. Remove EVAP canister purge solenoid retaining bolt. Remove EVAP canister purge solenoid.
