Removal & Installation

NOTE: Number in parenthesis refer to numbers in illustrations.
NOTE: There are 2 different manufacturers for the spark plug wire, ignition coils and coil brackets. They are as follows: The Melco® spark plug wire will have a blue foil mark on it, and the wire is 5.70" (145 mm) in length from cable seal to cable seal (1). The Delphi® spark plug wire will have a white foil mark on it, and the wire is 4.30" (110 mm) in length cable seal to cable seal (2). See Fig 1.

To remove the spark plug wire from the ignition coil and the spark plug, twist the spark plug wire boot a 1/2 turn. Pull only on the boot in order to remove the wire from the spark plug. To install, reverse removal procedure.
