Powertrain Control Module: Installation

  1. Connect the PCM electrical connectors to the PCM. Tighten connectors to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the PCM into the air cleaner housing assembly.
  2. Install the air cleaner top cover. Connect the negative battery cable. The replacement PCM will NOT allow Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump operation until a total of 10 miles have been accumulated. The new PCM must be programmed. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE  in PROGRAMMING.
