Removal (3.1L & 3.4L)

- Partially drain the cooling system. Loosen the air cleaner intake duct clamps. Remove the PCV tube from the air cleaner intake duct, if necessary. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector. Disconnect the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor electrical connector. Remove the air intake duct.
- Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connector. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector. Remove the accelerator control cable bracket. Disconnect the vacuum line from the throttle body. Remove the exhaust crossover. See Fig 1. Remove the throttle body support bracket bolts. Remove the throttle body support bracket. Remove the throttle body nuts. Remove the throttle body assembly. Remove the old gasket.
