Removal & Installation

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the engine cover. See ENGINE COVER under MISCELLANEOUS. Disconnect the Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) sensor electrical connectors (4). See Fig 1. Remove the FRP sensor (13) and discard the "O" ring. See Fig 2.
- Install the Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) sensor using a NEW "O" ring. Tighten the FRP sensor to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Start the vehicle and inspect for CNG fuel leaks at the serviced fittings with the J 45878 or an equivalent leak detector.
NOTE:
Before installation, lubricate the "O" ring with petroleum jelly or equivalent.
