Fuel Rail Assembly (CNG Only): Installation

  1. Install the fuel rails into the intake manifold. Apply a 0.020" (5 mm) band of Threadlock (GM P/N 1234382) to the threads of the fuel rail attaching bolts. Install the fuel rail attaching bolts. Tighten the bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Connect the fuel injector electrical connectors to the corresponding engine cylinder injector. Connect the fuel rail pressure sensor and fuel rail temperature sensor electrical connectors.
  2. Install the fuel lines into the fuel rails using NEW "O" rings. Lubricate the "O" rings with petroleum jelly. Install the fuel line to rail retainers and clamps. Tighten the clamps to specification. Install the negative battery cable(s). Tighten cable bolt(s) to specification. Start the vehicle and inspect for CNG fuel leaks at the serviced fittings using the Combustible Gas Detector. Install the engine sight shield.
