Fuel Rail Assembly (Bi-Fuel): Reassembly

  1. Install the CNG fuel rail pressure sensor and the fuel rail temperature sensor into the fuel rail with NEW "O" rings. Lubricate the NEW "O" rings with petroleum jelly. Install the fuel rail pressure sensor or the fuel rail temperature sensor hold-down and bolt, if equipped. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install the CNG fuel injector into the fuel rail with a NEW "O" ring. Lubricate the NEW "O" ring with petroleum jelly. Install the fuel injector retainer clip. Lubricate the NEW injector tip "O" ring with clean engine oil. Repeat procedure for the remaining CNG fuel injectors.
  3. Install the NEW lower injector "O" rings and lubricate with clean engine oil. Install the gasoline fuel injector into the fuel rail with new "O" rings. Install the fuel injector retainer clip. Install the CNG fuel injector adapter to the end of the injector. Repeat procedure for the remaining injectors.
  4. Assemble the CNG fuel rail injectors into the CNG fuel injector adapters. Install NEW "O" rings on the crossover tube. Lubricate the NEW "O" rings with clean engine oil. Install the crossover tube into the fuel rails. Loosely install the crossover tube fuel rail retainers.
