Removal (Cab & Chassis)

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  under FUEL SYSTEMS. Disconnect the negative battery cable(s). Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the truck body or side panel as required on RPO ZW9 equipped vehicles in order to gain access to the fill valve.
  2. On all models, disconnect the fill line at the fill valve. Disconnect the fill line at the high pressure lock-off (HPL) solenoid. Remove the fuel line retaining clips Remove the check valve mounting bolt. Remove the fill line assembly from the vehicle.
