Removal (5.3L)

  1. Push the Evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe quick connect fitting retainer inward. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect the EVAP pipe from the EVAP purge solenoid. See Figure.
  3. Disconnect the EVAP purge solenoid electrical connector (1). See Figure.
  4. Remove the EVAP purge solenoid bolt (2). See Figure.
  5. Remove the EVAP purge solenoid (3) and insulator (1).
