Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct: Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- If the IAT sensor was previously removed, install the IAT sensor into the air cleaner outlet duct. See INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR under SENSORS & SWITCHES.
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct onto the air cleaner outlet resonator (3). See Figure.
- Install the air cleaner element.
- Properly position the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (2) on the air cleaner side of the air cleaner outlet resonator (3). Tighten the clamp (2) to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the electrical connector to the IAT sensor (1).
