Removal & Installation (4.8L, 5.3L & 6.0L)

Remove the intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Remove the knock sensor wiring harness assembly. See Fig 1. Remove the knock sensors. See Fig 2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten the sensors to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
