Removal & Installation (4.3L)

Raise the vehicle. Disconnect the CKP sensor harness connector. See Fig 1. Remove the CKP sensor mounting bolt. Remove the CKP sensor. See Fig 2. DO NOT use the original "O" ring. Lubricate the NEW "O" ring with clean engine oil before installing the CKP sensor. Ensure the CKP sensor mounting surface is clean and free of burrs. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
