Removal & Installation (4.8L, 5.3L & 6.0L)

CAUTION: Clean the area around the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor before removal in order to prevent debris from entering the engine.

Remove the engine cover. Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector. Remove the CMP sensor bolt. See Fig 1. Remove the CMP sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
