Removal & Installation (4.3L)

  1. Remove the engine cover. Disconnect the Evaporative (EVAP) emission purge pipe.
  2. Disconnect the purge valve electrical connector. See Fig 1. Remove the two purge valve mounting nuts. Remove the engine wiring harness bracket from the mounting stud. Remove the purge valve from the intake manifold. See Fig 2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
