Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the left engine mount to the engine.
  2. Install the engine mount bolts to the engine.

    Tighten:  Tighten the engine mount bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Lower the engine.
  4. Remove the adjustable jack stands.
  5. For vehicles with 4WD, install the front propeller shaft. Refer to PROPELLER SHAFT REPLACEMENT - ONE PIECE in Propeller Shaft.

  7. Install the engine mount-to-engine mount bracket bolts. (Right side shown, left side similar).

    Tighten:  Tighten the engine mount-to-engine mount bracket bolts to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).

  8. Install the wheelhouse panel from the vehicle. Refer to WHEELHOUSE PANEL REPLACEMENT in Body front End.
  9. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
