Removal (4.3L)

- Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect breather tube at air cleaner outlet duct. See Fig 1.
- Disconnect Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor harness connector. See Fig 2. Remove air cleaner outlet duct retaining wingnut. See Fig 3.
- Loosen air cleaner outlet duct-to-MAF sensor clamp. Remove air cleaner outlet duct. See Fig 4.
- Remove air cleaner outlet duct adapter stud. See Fig 5. Disconnect accelerator control cable from throttle body.
- Disconnect cruise control cable from throttle body (if equipped). Remove 2 accelerator control cable routing bracket-to-throttle body retaining nuts. See Fig 6. Position accelerator control cable routing bracket aside.
- Remove accelerator control cable bracket retaining stud and nuts. Position accelerator control cable bracket aside.
- Disconnect IAC valve and TP sensor harness connectors from throttle body. See Fig 7 and Fig 8 .
- Remove throttle body retaining studs. See Fig 9. Remove throttle body assembly from intake manifold. Remove flange gasket and discard. See Fig 10.
