Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission.
  2. Remove the clutch assembly, if equipped. Refer to CLUTCH ASSEMBLY & PILOT BEARING .
  3. Remove the flywheel bolts.
  4. Remove the flywheel spacer if a flywheel spacer is used.

    Important:  If the flywheel is cracked or damaged replace the flywheel.

  5. Remove the flywheel.
  6. Clean and inspect the flywheel. Refer to ENGINE FLYWHEEL CLEANING AND INSPECTION .
