Installation Procedure

Install the flywheel.
Install the flywheel spacer if a flywheel spacer is used.
Important: You must thoroughly remove the old thread adhesive from the flywheel bolts and bolt holes. Use a round nylon bristle brush in order to remove the old adhesive.

Apply Loctite® 271 GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent to all flywheel bolts. Carefully follow the instructions that are included with the thread locking compound in order to ensure that the bolts are retained properly.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the flywheel bolts.
Tighten

Tighten the flywheel bolts to 75 N.m (55 lb ft).

Install the clutch assembly, if equipped. Refer to CLUTCH ASSEMBLY & PILOT BEARING .
Install the transmission.
