Intake Manifold Installation

  1. Install the intake manifold and new gasket.
  2. Install the 2 bolts to the alternator bracket.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the intake manifold bolts and nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the upper intake manifold nuts and the bolts to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the lower intake manifold bolt to 46 N.m (34 lb ft).

  4. Install 2 bolts and 1 nut to the intake manifold support bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the intake manifold support bracket bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the oil dipstick guide bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the oil dipstick guide bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose.
  7. Connect the EVAP hose for the ORVR.
