Cylinder Head Cover Installation

Important:  Use a new cylinder head cover gasket and new seal washers whenever the cylinder head cover replacement procedure is performed. Ensure that the new gasket and the new seal washers are correctly positioned during the cylinder head cover installation.

  1. Install the new cylinder head cover gasket to the cylinder head cover.
  2. Install the new seal washers to the cylinder head cover.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the cylinder head cover to the cylinder head. Secure the cover using nine bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts to 10 N.m (7 lb ft).
