Valve Lifter Replacement: Installation

NOTE:
If a new camshaft is installed, replace all valve lifters.
- Coat the valve lifter rollers with Lubricant (12345501).
- Install valve lifters.
- Install valve lifter guides over the flats on valve lifters, making sure rollers of the valve lifters are properly aligned with camshaft lobes.
- Install valve lifter guide retainer.
- Install valve lifter guide retainer bolts. Tighten valve lifter guide retainer bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install valve rocker arms and push rods. See VALVE ROCKER ARM & PUSH ROD . Install intake manifold, see INTAKE MANIFOLD .
