Oil Pump Drive Replacement: Installation

  1. Apply grease to the oil pump drive gear for ease of assembly.
  2. Line up the oil pump drive, making sure that the oil pump is fully seated in engine block.
  3. Install oil pump, making sure that oil pump drive is fully seated in engine block. Tighten oil pump drive bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD .
