Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal: Removal

  1. Remove flywheel.
  2. Install guide pins from the Crankshaft Rear Seal Puller (J-43320) into the crankshaft.
  3. Install crankshaft rear seal puller over the guide pins.
  4. Using a suitable drill, insert 8 of the self-drilling sheet metal screws into the rear crankshaft seal, using a criss-cross pattern. The self-tapping screws are included with the crankshaft rear seal puller.
  5. Thread the center bolt of the crankshaft rear seal puller into the crankshaft to remove the seal.
  6. Remove guide pins from the crankshaft.
