Catalytic Converter: Installation

- Apply Anti-Seize Compound GM (PN 12377953) to threads of the old oxygen sensors. Install oxygen sensors. Tighten oxygen sensors to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install a NEW exhaust seal to the exhaust manifold.
- Install catalytic converter. Slide catalytic converter hanger into exhaust pipe hanger bracket.
- Install left exhaust manifold pipe nuts. Tighten exhaust manifold pipe nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect oxygen sensor electrical connectors.
- Connect CPA retainers.
- Install muffler. See MUFFLER REPLACEMENT .
- Install oil pan skid plate and bolts, if necessary. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install engine shield and bolts, if necessary. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Lower vehicle.
