Test Description

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix, 2003 Pontiac Bonneville, 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2003 Chevrolet Impala, and 2003 Buick Regal. NOTE: Fuel Injector Circuit Diagnosis testing for Bonneville & LeSabre is not available from manufacturer at this time. See FUEL SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS .

The numbers below refer to the step numbers in the diagnostic procedure.

Grand Prix

  1. - This step tests for a short to ground on the fuel injector ignition 1 voltage supply circuit, fuse side.
  2. - This step tests for a short to ground on the fuel injector ignition 1 voltage supply circuit.

Impala, Monte Carlo & Park Avenue

  1. - This step tests for a short to ground on the fuel injector ignition 1 voltage supply circuit.
  2. - This step tests for a short to a PCM ground on the fuel injector ignition 1 voltage supply circuit.
  3. - This step tests for an open ignition 1 voltage supply circuit between the fuel injector fuse and the multi-way harness connector.
  4. - This step tests for an open or high resistance between the multi-way harness connector and the fuel injectors.

Regal

  1. - This step tests for a short to ground on the fuel injector ignition 1 voltage supply circuit.
  2. - This step tests for an open ignition 1 voltage supply circuit between the injector fuse and a fuel injector harness connector.
