Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering wheel to the steering wheel shaft.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the retaining nut that secures the steering wheel to the steering wheel shaft.

    Tighten:  Tighten the retaining nut to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

  5. Connect the steering wheel electrical connector.
  6. Install the horn plunger to the steering column.
  7. Install the inflator module. Refer to AIR BAG MODULES .
  8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
