Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the oil level indicator tube.
  2. Install a NEW oil level indicator tube seal.
  3. Install the oil level indicator tube into the engine block.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the bolt to the oil level indicator tube bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the oil level indicator.
