Removal & Installation (Mode Actuator)

Remove the instrument panel I/P Trim Pad. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Note the location of the hoses. Disconnect the yellow vacuum hose and red vacuum hose from the mode actuator. See Fig 1. Remove the recirculation actuator. Lift the actuator lock tab. Slide off the actuator. See Figure. Remove the actuator linkage from the mode door lever. Squeeze the tabs on the lever in order to remove the linkage. See Figure. To install, reverse removal procedure.
