Compressor Hose: Removal

  1. Recover the refrigerant. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Refrigerant pressure sensor. Remove the refrigerant pressure sensor from the hose. See PRESSURE SENSOR .
  2. Remove the bolt holding the compressor hose bracket to the fan shroud. Remove the compressor hose assembly to condenser nut. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the condenser. See Fig 1. Remove and discard the seal washer.
  3. Raise the vehicle. Remove the right front fender liner. Remove the nut holding the compressor hose assembly to the accumulator.
  4. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the accumulator. See Fig 2. Remove and discard the seal washer. Remove the block fitting bolt from the compressor. Remove the compressor hose assembly from the compressor. See Fig 3. Remove and discard the seal washers.
