Removal & Installation: Accumulator: Removal

  1. Recover the refrigerant. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING.
  2. Remove the right front fender liner. Remove the nut holding the compressor hose to the accumulator. Remove the compressor hose from the accumulator. Remove and discard the seal washer.
  3. Remove the evaporator hose nut from the accumulator. Remove the evaporator hose from the accumulator. Remove and discard the seal washer.
  4. Remove the accumulator bracket bolt. See Figure. Remove the accumulator with the bracket from the vehicle. Remove the accumulator from the insulator and the bracket. See Figure.
