Removal (California)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cables. Loosen the outlet duct clamp at the upper intake manifold cover. Remove the upper intake manifold cover from the outlet duct. Remove the upper intake manifold cover. Remove the battery supply wiring harness nut and harness connector from the glow plug relay battery voltage supply post.
  2. Remove the glow plug wiring harness connectors from the glow plug relay. Remove the glow plug relay mounting bolt from the mounting bracket. Remove the glow plug relay from the mounting bracket. See Fig 1.
