Fuel Transfer Pump (Cab & Chassis - With Auxiliary Tank): Removal

  1. Loosen filler caps to relieve the fuel system pressure. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector. See Figure. Clean both fuel pipe connections and surrounding areas at the fuel pump before disconnecting to avoid possible contamination of the fuel system. Disconnect both fuel pipes from the pump. Slide the pump out of the bracket. Cap the fuel pipes.
