Removal (Bank 2)

  1. Remove negative battery cables. Drain the cooling system. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET DUCT  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Remove the right side charged air outlet hose and clamps. Remove the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose and clamp. Remove the fuel injection control module. See FUEL INJECTION CONTROL MODULE .
  2. Remove the fuel filter. See FUEL FILTER . Remove the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve. See EGR VALVE . Disconnect the fuel feed rear pipe from the junction block.
  3. Remove the fuel injector feed pipe retainer bolts and retainers. Remove the fuel injector pipes. Remove the 3 bolts holding the fuel rail. See Fig 1.
