EGR Valve/Cooler Tube: Removal

- Drain cooling system. Remove air cleaner outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET DUCT under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Remove the turbocharger boost sensor bracket bolt. Remove the turbocharger boost sensor with bracket. Remove the Intake Air Heater (IAH) and gasket. Remove the IAH harness connector nut. Remove the upper intake manifold tube nuts and upper tube.
- Disconnect Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve vacuum hose. Remove EGR inlet cooling hose from cooling tube. Remove EGR outlet cooling hose from cooling tube. Remove nuts retaining EGR assembly to intake manifold.
- Remove nuts retaining EGR assembly to exhaust pipe. Remove bolts retaining EGR assembly to EGR bracket. Remove EGR assembly from engine. Remove bolts retaining EGR to EGR cooling tube. Separate EGR from EGR cooling tube.
