EGR Valve/Cooler Tube: Installation

  1. Install the EGR valve to the EGR cooling tube. Install the EGR to EGR cooling tube bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the EGR assembly to the engine. Install the EGR assembly to EGR bracket bolts. Tighten bolts to specification.
  2. Install the EGR assembly to exhaust pipe nuts. Tighten nuts to specification. Install the EGR assembly to intake manifold nuts. Tighten nuts to specification. Install EGR outlet cooling hose to EGR cooling tube. Install the EGR inlet cooling hose to the EGR cooling tube.
  3. Connect the EGR vacuum hose to the EGR valve. Install the upper intake manifold tube and nuts. Tighten the nuts to specification. Install the intake heater and gasket. Tighten the IAH to specification. Install the IAH wire. Install the IAH nut and tighten to specification. Install the turbocharger boost sensor with bracket. Install the turbocharger boost sensor bracket bolt and tighten to specification.
  4. Install air cleaner outlet duct. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET DUCT  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Fill cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING  under COOLING SYSTEM.
