Removal (With Existing Suction Screen - All Models)

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Remove the A/C compressor hose assembly bolt. Separate the A/C compressor hose assembly from the A/C compressor.
  2. Select the proper size Removal Tool from Suction Screen Kit. See Fig 1. Remove the suction screen using the suction screen removal tool. Thread the forcing screw into the suction screen. Tighten the nut on the forcing screw to remove the suction screen.
